Hyde Remarks on Powell Resignation

(WASHINGTON)--U.S. Rep. Henry J. Hyde (R-IL), chairman of the House International Relations Committee, commented Monday on the resignation of Secretary of State Colin Powell:

Secretary Powell nobly served this Nation during four very consequential decades in our history.  As he enters a new chapter in his remarkable life, he leaves government service with the appreciation of a grateful Nation, and the very best wishes from those of us who know him as one of our most honorable public servants.
